Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter with WPDE-TV. She worked later as morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as a crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases resulted in the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding the instances. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
